Consultation Confirmation RCS Template for Law Firms & Advocates

A ready-to-adapt RCS message for law firms and advocates, with placeholders, sample values and compliance notes.

When to Send This Message

Send when a client books a consultation they requested. For law firms and advocates, this is one of the everyday messages that keeps clients informed without a phone call. It works best when it is triggered automatically from your booking, billing or CRM software.

People look for lawyers when they face a specific problem, and they want clear information and a prompt, discreet response.

Placeholders and Sample Values

PlaceholderMeaningSample value
{client}ClientMr. Saxena
{advocate}AdvocateAdv. Mehra
{date}Date18 Oct
{time}Time5:00 PM

Filling in each placeholder

  • Client (sample: Mr. Saxena): Use the first name or the salutation the customer gave you; fall back to a neutral greeting if the field is empty.
  • Advocate (sample: Adv. Mehra): Keep the value short and specific; test the longest realistic value to check the message still reads well.
  • Date (sample: 18 Oct): Write dates in an unambiguous form such as 14 Oct or 14 Oct 2026; avoid formats like 10/11 that customers read differently.
  • Time (sample: 5:00 PM): Give times with AM/PM or a clear range, and the time zone if the customer may be in another country.

This template has 4 placeholders and a body of 164 characters before values are filled in. RCS card descriptions can be longer than SMS, but the first line should still carry the key information, as previews are truncated.

Category and Approval

Service updates like this suit RCS well because a card can carry buttons such as confirm, reschedule or get directions. The message must still relate to the customer's existing transaction.

Compliance Checklist

  • An SMS fallback is configured, and in India the fallback text uses a DLT-registered template.
  • Images are clear, sized as the provider recommends, and do not hide important information that is missing from the text.
  • Promotional rich cards go only to customers who have agreed to receive them.

Rules to keep in mind for Law Firms & Advocates

Bar Council of India Rule 36 prohibits advocates from soliciting work or advertising, although websites with factual information (name, contact, enrolment, areas of practice) are permitted. We therefore focus on informational websites and client-service messages, not promotional campaigns.

General guidance, not legal advice. Rules change, so confirm current requirements before launch. See our RCS compliance guide for India.

Tips for Better Results

  • Use the customer's name and a reference number so the message is easy to trust and to search for later.
  • Send it as close as possible to the event it relates to, such as right after booking or the day before an appointment.

Where this message fits for Law Firms & Advocates

Clients usually look for lawyers when they face a problem, such as a dispute, a property purchase, a visa or a business deal, searching by practice area and location, reading lawyer profiles and reviews, and calling for an initial consultation. Trust, expertise and clarity about fees decide who they choose.

Search and legal directories bring enquiries; LinkedIn and articles build credibility; email carries engagement letters and case updates; SMS sends appointment and hearing reminders; WhatsApp is used for scheduling where clients prefer it.

Questions About This Template

When should a law firm send the consultation confirmation message?

Send when a client books a consultation they requested. Automate it from your software where possible so it is never forgotten.

What happens if the customer's phone does not support RCS?

The message falls back to SMS. In India the fallback must use a DLT-registered template, which is why this page includes the SMS version.

Can I add images to this message?

Yes. A rich card can include an image or short video. Keep important details in the text as well, since not everyone views the image.

Can DND Teams set this up for my law firm?

Yes. We adapt the template to your business, register or submit it, and connect it to your software or our panel. Share your use case on WhatsApp or through the form.
