Filling in each placeholder

Customer (sample: Sneha): Use the first name or the salutation the customer gave you; fall back to a neutral greeting if the field is empty.
Order id (sample: EC10293): Use the same reference format that appears on your invoices, receipts or software, so customers and staff can match it quickly.
Amount (sample: 1,499): Write amounts as Rs. 1,499 rather than with the rupee symbol, which forces Unicode encoding in SMS and shortens each part to 70 characters.
Days (sample: 2): Keep the value short and specific; test the longest realistic value to check the message still reads well.

This template has 4 placeholders and a body of 151 characters before values are filled in. RCS card descriptions can be longer than SMS, but the first line should still carry the key information, as previews are truncated.

Category and Approval

Service updates like this suit RCS well because a card can carry buttons such as confirm, reschedule or get directions. The message must still relate to the customer's existing transaction.

Compliance Checklist

Your brand (name, logo and description) is verified with the RCS provider before launch.
Suggested replies and actions are short (25 characters or fewer per chip) and each one leads somewhere useful.
An SMS fallback is configured, and in India the fallback text uses a DLT-registered template.
