Filling in each placeholder
- Retailer (sample: Sharma General Store): Use the first name or the salutation the customer gave you; fall back to a neutral greeting if the field is empty.
- Amount (sample: 42,300): Write amounts as Rs. 1,499 rather than with the rupee symbol, which forces Unicode encoding in SMS and shortens each part to 70 characters.
- Date (sample: 30 Sep): Write dates in an unambiguous form such as 14 Oct or 14 Oct 2026; avoid formats like 10/11 that customers read differently.
- Phone (sample: 0755-XXXXXXX): Use a number the customer can actually reach during business hours, ideally one already shown on your website.
This template has 4 placeholders and a body of 162 characters before values are filled in. RCS card descriptions can be longer than SMS, but the first line should still carry the key information, as previews are truncated.
